InterviewYou’re an artist... So let’s just get the cliché question out of the way because it has to be done. Where do you find your inspiration?Without sounding too cliché myself, I usually find my inspiration from the people around me, and the environments I’m in. Most of the work I do is commissioned, either by someone asking me to paint them a painting, or draw them a tattoo. But a lot of my work is pretty experimental because I’m still really trying to find my niche as an artist What are you taking in school at the MacEwan arts campus?I’m doing graphic design with a major in illustration. I decided on that because I think my art can be done as a hobby, where as graphic design will be more lucrative and a little safer. You’ve moved from Fort Chipewyan to Fort McMurray, and now to Edmonton. You’re about to have a whole new environment to inspire you, but you’ve only been here three weeks. What do you think so far?So far, so good! I like the Whyte avenue area, primarily because I live around there. I’ve really enjoyed the Black Dog and I’ve been taking advantage of the patio while I still can. One thing that’s different from Fort McMurray is, so far, I’ve only seen two people wearing Ed Hardy, Affliction or Tap Out clothes, which is pretty much the Fort McMurray uniform. You must not have ventured outside after 11pm on Whyte. Something tells me you’ll see more than two people wearing bejeweled gold foil t-shirts if you look hard enough.
