Every week you hop into the MacEwan mascot suit and become “Griff”. Why did you want to take on this enormous responsibility?

I used to be the announcer for the games, but it turns out I am really biased. The other teams didn’t like it, so it wasn’t going to work. I noticed that we never had a mascot out at the games, so I took it upon myself to jump in as Griff. Although, the first time I was really inappropriate, but I have toned it down since then.

How inappropriate are we talking here?

Griff would moon the other team. The crowd loved it - The University did not.

You get to be a bit more crazy on The Bounce’s Mascot Mondays don’t you?

Punter from the Edmonton Eskimos and I go out on some Monday mornings and wreak a bit of havoc on the streets downtown. I get to harass people, dance around, and give out high fives and hugs.

How different is Griff’s personality from yours? Are Chris and Griff one-in-the-same?

We’re very similar. We’re both very inappropriate at times and very outgoing and enthusiastic. Also, we’re both looking for love.

Griff is looking for love? I had no idea. What does Griff look for in a relationship?

He is looking for someone adventurous.

Perhaps the mascot from the Portage College Voyageurs?

Yeah! Maybe the NAIT Ook.
