InterviewAs a piano instructor, black belt in Taekwondo, and varsity golfer, how do you make time for engineering? Do you consider yourself somewhat of an expert on time management?Everything can fit in; you just have to make the right sacrifices at the right time. As for a time management expert, I would say yes. Many people ask me how I manage to fit it in, but at the end of the day, it all gets done on time and it is all together. It has been said that you dress to a higher calibre than the average student. Where did your initial drive to dress better come from?Definitely from playing golf. I started to notice that it was fun to dress up on the course; you can pretty much get away with anything. Lots of people saw Norway’s curling pants in the Olympics; I would definitely rock those on the course. So as a Varsity golfer, do you make sure you are identifiable in tournaments?Moderately. I think my handicap could be better but everyone says that. We only have so much summer to practice though… Do you ever play in piano concerts?I perform a few times a year in the Rotary music festival and recitals with my students. I have been playing since I was ten and have been teaching out of my home. Any plans after school? Engineering?I’m not sure, just looking forward to finishing my degree and I will figure it out from there. |
